 The date for this course has been confirmed as Saturday October 9th at The Living Classroom - Bonsley Wood.

Spend a day with Jim Bettle of the Dorset Charcoal Company, to learn about the complete process of charcoal production:

Emptying, filling and firing of a large kiln; also small scale production using a 40 gallon drum.

Equipment required:  Safety Boots and practical working clothes that will get really dirty.

Packed Lunch    Jim Bettle    10.00am – 4.00pm    £60.00

This is an ideal opportunity to 'have a go' on the courses of your choice.

Hedge Laying - Autumn 2010

Learn the basics of laying a hedge, and the reasons why and where to lay. 
 Bring a  packed Lunch, and wear warm, practical clothing for working in the woods
which should include safety footwear and strong gloves.
Bring your own Billhook and bow saw, if you've got them.
Courses run from 10.00am - 4.00
