SUMMARY:Introduction to Hazel Splitting & Hurdle Making - Fully Booked !
DESCRIPTION:This course is a one day introduction to the art of splitting (
 or riving) hazel and how to make woven hazel hurdles.\n\nThe day's course 
 will start with learning the magical art of splitting hazel. We will then 
 use the split wood to make a hurdle (or hurdles!).\n\nThe course will be r
 un at The Living Classroom at Bonsley Wood but\, if we are lucky enough wi
 th the weather\, most of it will take place outside. All tools and materia
 ls will be supplied\, but please do wear appropriate clothing and sensible
  footwear.\n\nThe course will start at 10am and finish around 4pm. Tea\, c
 offee and biscuits will be supplied\, but please bring your own packed lun
 ch. The cost is £75 for non-members and £60 for members. There are limi
 ted places\, so please book early at info@dorsetcoppicegroup.co.uk.\n\nYou
 r tutor for the day will be DCG's Chair\, David Ewers. David is a full-tim
 e coppice &amp\; green woodworker and is one of only a few commercial hurd
 le makers still practising the art in Dorset.\n&nbsp\;
