Hedgerow Crafts Pyrography
Contact: Mandy Staple
Tel: 07767 893324
Pyrography means "writing with fire" and is the traditional art of burning a design onto wood. Each piece is unique due to the individual character and grain of the wood and the creative process of pyrography that is used to enrich the wood.
All the designs are based on Mandy’s love of trees, birds of prey, wildlife and nature and she uses a wide range of British woods all sourced locally.

I make a range of items such as bowls, tee light holders, globlets, boxes etc.
I use mostly traditional English woods such as Oak, Ash, Beech, Walnut & Yew. I have used some European woods on occasions as some of the grains can be stunning.
I am willing to take on comissions so if you would like something made then get in touch. All my work is from my own designs and I try and make each piece unique.
Now offering wood turning taster days, please ring for details.

When the trail is stretching out in front of you, the sky is blue above you and the daily grind is well and truly to the rear, that’s one amazing feeling. Loose Reins is all about finding and enjoying that feeling, about discovering some wind-down time and enjoying the simple things in life. Out on the trail is where life makes sense. Taking in views for miles from the top of the Wessex Ridgeway or slowly trekking along leafy forest paths, you can find your trail best in the saddle, out in Loose Reins Country. From complete beginner or regular wrangler, it makes no difference. We have experienced Western Instructors giving lessons at all levels, organising family fun and leading your trails.
