Learn how to turn a piece of wood from a log into a beautiful and functional carved spoon.

This one day course is aimed at beginner spoon carvers and will cover safe use of tools (axes & knives), different types of carving techniques, the qualities of different types of wood and more. All tools and wood will be provided.

The course is being run by Paul Brayshaw. Paul is a long-standing Dorset Coppice Group member and you may well have met him & his wife Verity at numerous shows and events during the summer months. Paul is friendly, welcoming and patient – all the qualities that we look for in our course tutors.

For safety & insurance reasons, sadly the course is limited to over 18’s only.

The course is run at The Living Classroom at Bonsley Wood and directions can be found here. The Living Classroom has disabled access, toilets and a ready supply of tea & coffee. Please do bring your own lunch though.

Cost: £65 per person.
